The cabinet will meet on Thursday afternoon to discuss the tenuous security situation in eastern and southern Lebanon with 50 articles on its agenda.
Ministers will discuss the political impasse in Lebanon, in addition to the security chaos, the fate of the abducted Lebanese soldiers and policemen, and the Syrian refugee crisis.
Ahead of Thursday's session Prime Minister Tammam Salam contacted the parties' representatives in his cabinet to affirm his government's unity and cooperation among its ministers.
The cabinet will also tackle the renewal of the contracts of Sukleen company and the two telecom companies, Alfa and MTC.
Lebanon has plunged in a political crisis after the tenure of President Michel Suleiman ended in May.
The vacuum at the Baabda Palace and the deep rift between the political arch-foes has affected the parliament and the political situation in the country.
In addition to the political crises, Lebanon is facing the burden of Syrian refugees and a deteriorating security situation, in particular, in the northeastern border town of Arsal that witnessed clashes between the army and terrorist groups.
