Dutch police in The Hague on Saturday said they had uncovered 7,000 cannabis plants at a business premises south of the city center.

"Police officers found the plantation in Rijswijk shortly before noon after an anonymous tip-off," spokeswoman Chantal Marges told Agence France Presse.

She said nobody was arrested and the estimated street value of the haul was unknown.

Earlier Saturday, firemen uncovered another marijuana plantation in the southern Dutch town of Nederweert after being called to put out a shed fire, Dutch news agency ANP said, adding no arrests were made.

Though technically illegal, the Netherlands have decriminalized the possession of less than five grams (0.18 ounce) of cannabis in 1976 under a so-called "tolerance" policy.
